Kodingtionary: the difference between Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI

It's about power in each case, but used differently from one situation to another. You know, information = power, it's good to have the tools to manipulate information at hand... digital, of course.
Power Query: a tool that allows users to extract data from various sources, manipulate it in a form that suits them, and load it into Excel. It is an Extract, Transform, Load tool that works like an Excel add-in.

Power Pivot: an in-memory data modeling component that allows for highly compressed data storage and very high-speed calculations or aggregation. It is available in Excel and can be used to create a data model. Power Pivot can load data itself or receive data through Power Query. It is very similar to the SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) tabular model, a kind of server-side version of Power Pivot.
Power View: an interactive visualization tool. Provides a drag-and-drop interface for quickly and easily building data visualizations in Excel documents (using the Power Pivot data model).
Power BI: a set of cloud tools that allow them Power Map drag and drop interface Koding recommendationusers to manage their own needs business intelligence. It is based on Microsoft's Office 365 and SharePoint Online products, through Excel 2013. Includes Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power View. Power BI (with O365 and SharePoint Online) provides a site where users can upload and distribute content they create, manage access to data sources, and enterprise, I can implement refresh on data.
Power BI has a very James-Bond/sci-fi/high tech feature: natural language querying of data models, like: „lightsaber sales in Quantas system Jedi customers Q1” – and boom, the graph appears on the screen. Great for presentations to bosses or shareholders. A example is available in the NOD demo film, "A Day in the Life of a Secret Agent."„
May the force be with you.
