A ransomware attack requires you to infect two other people to receive the decryption key

Ransomware attacks are becoming more creative.
A new version of malware that encrypts your computer data, thus taking it "hostage", offers a free decryption key if you infect two or more other internet users, as payment for the reward.
The code is called Popcorn Time and was discovered by security analysts at MalwareHunterTeam.
To be eligible, victims must refer two other users to links generated for this purpose.
Or, if they prefer, they can pay one Bitcoin ($770) for decryption. If they choose neither option, the decryption key is deleted within seven days and the data is lost forever.
There is also a story behind this hand that "asks" through threat. According to guru3d.com, the creators of Popcorn Time claim to be a group of IT students from Syria who buy food and medicine with the bounty money.
Touching.
Until then, we remind you of the wise saying of the elders: Backup to a separate disk is sacred.
