Koding Tech Select Episode 15

We know that Easter is approaching and we should (maybe) not feel like working anymore, but since we are passionate about what we do, and we like to keep you updated with everything that is happening in technology, we did not abandon Koding Tech Select, our column #madeincotroceni, even during Easter Week.

We've also been "hit" by some interesting news in the last few days, which we've gathered here for you. So, let's take a look at what we discovered in the last week in the technology department:

Apple AirDrop vulnerability could expose phone numbers and email addresses. Basically, in the discovery process before data exchange between two devices, the email address and phone number are visible. As we always say, the easier the technology is for users to use, the greater the risks.

Because there aren't enough video streaming platforms Sony tests PlayStation Plus Video Pass in Poland. Currently, the platform contains 20 movies and series, and promises to add new content every three months. So, PlayStation Plus Video and chill?

DoNotPay – a startup formed by an army of robot lawyers, specializing in closing subscriptions and obtaining refunds from airlines, launches a new tool that adds a layer of pixels (unnoticeable to the human eye) over any photo you want to upload to the internet, but which disrupts its recognition by AI solutions. Thus, you cannot use the 'similar images' function in Google, Microsoft or Amazon.

Rumor has it Twitter will give you the opportunity to offer 'tips' to other users directly from the platform. Thus, in addition to traditional buttons, you will have a button integrated with various payment platforms. An interesting step, which will certainly make direct monetization much more accessible.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, or know how to write a few lines of code, WhatsApp 'allows' you to spy on one or more contacts, as well as the interactions between them using online/offline status.

Looking at the topics above, it looks like we'll have quite a debate tonight, starting at 7:00 PM, so let's get ready. See you and hear from you, In Play, on the KodingTech YouTube Channel with guests, the "talkative" specialists from our team.
